WordPress Security Tip

March 13, 2016 By CyberStrides Support Leave a Comment

Brute Force Security

Brute force attacks are on the rise.  After examining several logfiles – it appears not only are the hackers attempting the user admin, they are also using the domain name as a user.

For example if you have the domain example.com – the attackers will attempt to use:  admin, example, and example.com.

So if you created an admin account with the user admin, or your domain name I’d recommend changing it.

If you need help doing this feel free to contact us.
